#1 Marston holdings bailiff harassing me over ex partners debt

A marston holdings bailiff has knocked my door 3 separate occasions over ex partners debt who lives apart from me . Now he posted a so called final notice and threats to return with locksmith

He can't enforce the debt against you. If he attempted it, then he would be liable for an action under section 3 of the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.

You should inform the police on 101 saying you have had a bailiff threaten to interfere with the locks to your home in respect of a debt owed by somebody else. It doesn't matter if the call handler makes excuses, just say you are reporting it any so it is on record that you have reported it and you have a copy of the call. The call handler can get their own legal advice.
