Police arrest bystander

Post by Andy » 17 Jun 2015 23:31

Police arrested a bystander in this video when he tried to stop a bailiff from taking a child's belongings. The bailiff seems to admit in this video that he cannot take them, but also says it is down to him to decide whether or not he can take them. The items in question were Xbox games that were apparently mixed with adult games so they are allowed to be taken.

Interestingly he wasn't arrested for obstruction, rather a breach of the peace.

Police officer commits an offence of using a police power to enable a bailiff to breach regulation 4. Section 26 of the Criminal Justice and Courts Act 2015.

Police officer declined an opportunity to seek legal advice.

Police + Council + Courts + Bailiffs = the 4 horsemen...

Was to be expected.
