Its original purpose was to give people a place away from the wrong advice being dished out elsewhere.

We all know that because a certain individual, big giving out inaccurate advice has asked other people to create a total of three websites for her to make ad-hominem attacks against me. One former accomplice has given a very detailed statement. That is as well as putting my name on the internet malevolently, which has been gathered up for evidence.

This board specialises in bailiffs redress. Other forums took it on as a sideline without any specialist knowledge of this subject.

Now we have an Eric Clapton wannabee who spends his life on a PC plotting his next move.

As for the members, they have benefitted in the unquantifiable measure. We are not interested in gather statistics to secure public funding. Between this board and DWB, they number well over 2500 cases.

We have forced change. Stopped the taking for hire purchase vehicles, stemmed the propensity for bailiffs to threaten to break entry for unpaid fees and recovered countless wrongfully taken vehicles using legal proceedings.

Nobody has come close. Marston's effort to control the advice on the CAG board was doomed from the outset. LB ditched bailiffs because of the flame wars dragging it down. All the rest simply dried up and focused on their original goals.

We kept forum content precise and succinct. There are no banter threads such as a lamp post or an inner-sanctum to pump up the size of the database.

So here's to the next five years.

My username went live late on 22nd July 2012, there was a lot to do before anyone else was told about the site.

Some of LB joined quite early on as I remember and I relished banning their arses. Spooner was one of them. Odious little man.

It was a joint effort as I remember it, but I had been banned (well asked not to post again by Pencil Nose, which is the same thing) from LB. Best thing they ever did and it's still worth absolutely nothing to anyone despite what they claim.

Indeed, they ban anyone capable of providing useful and accurate advice, all for the sake of pleasing whoever they choose as their Flavour of the Month, very often the most clueless people who grossly misrepresent their talents, qualifications and experience. The Beagles invariably fall for it hook, line and sinker.

In all fairness, the culprits of giving wrong advice have been banned. LB has moved on since the flame wars, but I don't think it will sell for its millions. The dot-com burst in the early noughties.

They've rebranded it to something I can't even remember, that's how worthless it is.

MSE was sold in 2012, but that was always a site ripe for promoting financial services, as it was more of a consumer choice site to get the best deals rather than a consumer rights site.

LB has no value as a money making enterprise. People go there seeking free legal advice, misled by the title, which suggests the posters may be legally qualified. If they were, they wouldn't be wasting their valuable time there. Most posters are skint and many have made a mess of their whole lives, often have mental issues, etc. They wouldn't make a good client to anyone, other than the charity organisations offering free services. It takes a lot of manpower to moderate and run a site that size and what would be the incentive for anyone to do so, when there's nothing there for them?

It will be sold for a million... Iranian Rials.... I'm just drafting my offer.

They should keep LB going as a free advice board. That's all it will do. Websites that are forums don't have any monetary value.

The difference with MSE, it is a monetised product that includes a forum as a sideshow.

This board is not monetised nor does it advertise. It just gives free help. DWB is a monetised product. The legal profession is only interested in DWB because that is where the clients are. Nobody has ever shown a shred of interest in acquiring these boards.

LB and CAG don't have a monetised product. They expect somebody to walk up to their door with a grand pay cheque. That is the thought process of someone of limited means.
