I attended Crown court and pleaded guilty. At time off seeing solicitors, LAA agreed to fund case I was never advised off any costs as Legal aid granted.
I paid fine and court costs this was in mid July. I have now received a bill for my defence costs over 5 months later. Merry fucking xmas apparently they have come to this conclusion cause of money I had at time and equity in house, I have to pay full costs of useless solicitors rather than a specialist which would have seen me innocent most likley.
Would anyone know if there is a time limit they have to bill you in please or offer any words off advice.
I just recovered from alcohol addiction, and depressing and currently in 1 to 1 therapy for anxiety and in and out off hospital as a result of police and court case.
On receiving letter being late in day I just got wasted. LAA have confirmed they can do nothing. The government is turning every thing over to outside agencies. I have Concentrix accusing me off fraud to :xmas_frown: so my income could be completely gone any-time. Feel dis-pare that My mum and son are going to suffer.
Any one know the minimum monthly payment they would accept. As soon as I move hopefully by end off January I can try sell my car to pay it off.

This looks like a Capital contribution order. Here is more: http://www.dealingwithbailiffs.co.uk/ca ... -order.htm

Its pointless giving it to bailiffs because they cannot take control of equity in your property.

They will return it unpaid and the LAA will apply for a charging order.

If your income is pushed below the government poverty threshold, then sign on.

Thanks. this is the first bill that says if I do not pay or reach an agreement in 28 days they will take enforcement action. I cant afford to have my credit rating tarred.

No need. Just see what the order awards. That's all you owe.

The bailiffs fees, if they can get it from you, is £75 + £235.

Next time I wont trust the police, cps or courts. Although Judge did pass minimum sentence available. ? disgusting system when you cant protect yourself hence the anxiety therapy. New I should have got sacked and claimed PIP. had to spend a Thousand pound to keep my job

I paid £10 today as per my rejected offer. They want the dept clear in 3 months. they have said I should stop paying for my sons college expenses and not have any cash or savings. I still awaiting to see if my tax credits are to continue alter or stop. I sold £2 off assetts so far. think its time to hide the car. Cant sell it if they impound it. Should I pay the £100 plus the £2 or not bother ? O have to do this week as Im in hospital next week with no pay as well I like to add.

No, Its a capital contribution order.

I have a solicitor willing to have an informal chat with you with a view to take instructions. He specialises in professional negligence and is based in London (Hoburn).

Do you have a copy of the solicitors engagement letter? that will tell you what you were advised.

They might have changed it. I remember the law was one of Tony Blairs knee-jerk bills. He was big on money related legislation.

3000 new laws over 10 years were introduced I think it was - about 1 per day.

Looking at this link found this no4 I never received notification so could not appeal ??? True

http://www.dealingwithbailiffs.co.uk/ca ... -order.htm

4. You received the Order MORE than 21 days after the end of the proceedings which denies your statutory right of appeal.

Yes, do it. Nothing to lose in appealing. Do it as a sworn statement, It carries much more weight.

Thanks will look into doing that. There maybe a suitable template on the link. Re read letter it says they want it paid in 3 months or will put chare on my property. Then they will then accept my Payment offer. :D On Friday I pay some off shows I'm making an effort.

They don't need a certificate. They need a warrant for the address the goods is situated provided the land is not your place of work or where you usually live. A neighbour is perfect.
