#1 Final Warning but first ever heard of for me?

Post by bandolera » 30 Aug 2017 20:06

I had one of these beautiful hand delivered red notes under my door today. I live in a big house big 4 different flats, my flat number was not on there so I dont think they know where I live.

Dont know what its for, did not receive Notice of enforcement, and it doesnt even say on the Final Notice what its for. Idiotic!

might be for a cigarette butt I threw on the ground 4 years ago, never knew what happened with that... but never heard a thing and I have moved about 10 times since then.

Whats the best thing for me to do?

If its addressed to you then you need to establish whether its a court fine.

This article explains how to revoke the conviction and the court fine: http://www.dealingwithbailiffs.co.uk/Co ... iliffs.htm

Hi,

It is a magistrates court fine. Whats the best thing for me to do now, call them up directly? Send a Stat Dec letter?
They showed up at the house this morning!

Do NOT call the court or the bailiff company.

You make a stat dec and send it by RECORDED DELIVERY to the court that issued the warrant.

There is an internet myth doing the rounds that say you make an "appointment" with the court to swear in a stat dec. This is a ploy to get you into court and ambush you with a kangaroo re-conviction without allowing you to prepare a defence.

Wow, ok thanks!

Do I need one of these templates in order to send a stat dec or can I pretty much make my own?

Thanks again!!!
