#1 Small claims

Post by Scottp » 06 May 2017 18:10

I lost a small claims case partly because I am unable to attend the court location.i received a warrant of control today for baillifs to take goods. I'm really worried I have no debts and I am my wife's full time carer as she is disabled and we live on benefits both reasons are why I couldn't attend the hearing. We have a motorhome(not a nice new one and was bought when we were in a better situation) in my wife's name and I'm worried they'll take it. My wife has a mobility car. We have very little money and everything we own is second hand. I'm terrified and don't know what to do can anyone advise me please what to do.

Put the disabled badge on display inside the car. The motorhome is not the debtors, so it lands the creditor a big bill of the bailiff interferes with it.

Here is how to batten down the hatches. http://www.dealingwithbailiffs.co.uk/Ex ... liffs.html

If the bailiffs pester you, then you can consider applying to stay the writ and apply for a variation of the judgment. That stops the enforcement power, stops the fees, and reverts the sum due back to the original judgment. Here is how. http://www.dealingwithbailiffs.co.uk/St ... r-HCEO.htm
