#1 Gary Brown bailiff with DCBL

Gary came with Cona to my home last night. For what was a business debt (however the writ did not say Ltd after it - just the company name) I stupidly let them in the house to show them I had no assets for the business in the home, to which they played me and said that because the debt didn't show as a Ltd company debt, i was personally liable. As i hadn't paid within 15 minutes of them coming in to my home they put another £1100 on the bill! I paid them just over £8000 and they left.

I know I shouldn't have let them in the property - but the extra fee of £1100 can I claim this back!? They were so rude, aggressive and started looking through my personal things.

Horrid man.

You will have to do a recovery in the small claims track. If you are not the debtor then you can recover everything plus damages.
