Help with bailiff entry to home

Post by mail123 » 12 Aug 2017 15:37

I had a visit from a bailiff and they got access to my house while I was out via a back door left unlocked by the kids.

I know that they cold re-enter the house now as they have had access once. But I have just moved house, can they re-enter my new address without my permission? Or do they have to be invited in here too?

Thanks for your help in advance.

They have to be invited.

Even if the bailiff previously entered, it's not license to re-enter by force.

To enter homes by force. Three things must happen.

1. The bailiff must make a complaint Controlled Goods agreement.
2. The listed goods must be inside the property.
3. The occupant refuses entry.
I am a paralegal working for solicitors bringing proceedings against bailiffs for non-compliant enforcement action.
