Is it Hide My Ass (HMA) by any chance?Dizzychick wrote:A VPN does render IPs from different countries if it has an automatic switching service or manual server selection process which I make use of.
It is if you visit certain websites, and not necessarily those that may come to mind.Dizzychick wrote:Not a chance. Privacy is a necessity on the internet.

Er don't need anyone's permission or approval on how I manage my internet connection or protect my personal information and privacy and no it's not HMA.

I don't visit the websites you insinuate I might in your post, nor did I suggest that this site was illegal, that was all your supposition. Did Snowden not teach the word anything? Your ISP by law MUST record all websites you visit with a time stamp and this must be kept on file for a YEAR so that IF any government agency requests this list, they are entitled to have it. I also opted out of the data dissent on the NHS - don't want companies buying my data, so are you going to accuse me of something there then? Not that any of you checking where I login and what I post elsewhere is inappropriate AT ALL. This forum is a specialist area for bailiffs and others specialise in different areas such as traffic violations which you DON'T . Do you want me to take issue with the fact that BHF clearly stated pepipoo DON'T recommend baliffadviceonline yet did with me yesterday? I wouldn't because it's petty and unnecessary. I use a VPN for security as many people do, primarily to avoid identify theft and MIM attacks. it stays on to ensure my personal information is kept private and there's nothing wrong with that. I wasn't aware joining here meant I would be subjected to dictates that violate personal boundaries.

Perhaps you could use the £40 a month you spend on the dedicated servers to pay your debt?

When DWB or BHF is recommended to a poster, you will find a Sheila troll is quick to douse it.
I still get the recommendation and that might explain why I get the complaint about Sheila and Pepeipoo. I've not researched for whether its intended, but it does fit Sheila's MO.

I don't pay anywhere near £40 for VPN and if anyone else is they are being robbed. Pepipoo have already looked at the certificates and commented which is their speciality and I have information on the PCN etc from them along with a not so pleasant attitude. I came here for bailiff advice.

I've heard they are judgmental on Pepipoo, but I have no other venue to send people with parking ticket issues. I offered to send them to Sheila but her lack of sanity prevents it. In any case, she told me she does not want PCN referrals.
I even looked at establishing a traffic penalty forum to bridge the gap. I lack the passion and I don' think Amy wanted to run it either. If there is a volunteer out there willing to operate such a forum, then I'm happy to build and host it. They will need to be an expert in traffic penalty regulations.

Re: Bailiff used a kubotan on a debtor. Police say it's a "civil matter"
I did not insinuate anything, I was referring to Big Brother snooping IN GENERAL, and to those situations (again, in general), when people may wish to conceal the websites they visit from the government (as opposed to, say, employers or family members). As an example, most porn is not illegal (unless it involves minors) but downloading a copyrighted song or a movie is, yet many people could worry about being found about about the former but not the latter. The records would show what websites were visited but not your activity on them, thus they won't know why you are visiting a site, for example, you could be on a drug users' forum as an advisor rather than a user.Dizzychick wrote:I don't visit the websites you insinuate I might in your post,
No supposition at all, again, general reference. Some people may wish to conceal their visits to perfectly legal sites for various reasons, for example, banking sites if they have something to hide. I'm not saying any of this applies to you.Dizzychick wrote:nor did I suggest that this site was illegal, that was all your supposition.
1. The ISP can only get data for a subscriber account, not an individual. A single account would be for a whole family, a flatshare, etc. and you can have guests and even share your broadband with your neighbours and split the bill.Dizzychick wrote:Did Snowden not teach the word anything? Your ISP by law MUST record all websites you visit with a time stamp and this must be kept on file for a YEAR so that IF any government agency requests this list, they are entitled to have it.
2. Visiting a site doesn't prove anything, I can go find out how to make a bomb just out of idle curiosity or for research, editorial or academic purposes. I could even set out on a mission to find all bomb making sites to report them to the authorities.
3. A government agency will only request data about an individual when they have a reason to do so and they have already a good idea what they are looking for, otherwise it will be simply pointless.
I never accused you of anything to start with.Dizzychick wrote:I also opted out of the data dissent on the NHS - don't want companies buying my data, so are you going to accuse me of something there then?
ALL forums do it, they may not tell you about it but they do. Nothing sinister, simply because there are people who post under multiple usernames or who have previously been banned and sign up again using a spoof IP. It also helps with spam, and even to ensure any advice given is relevant. When you google something in English, you may end up on a site based in the US or Australia or vice versa.Dizzychick wrote:Not that any of you checking where I login and what I post elsewhere is inappropriate AT ALL.

Why is this even a discussion. The fact remains that Dizzychick's first post on this forum included needless porkies as if trying to goad us into saying something, whilst hiding behind multiple proxies, for fear that 'the state' may be watching. They then ignore their 'problem' and go off on rants on unrelated matters in unrelated threads.Michelle wrote: 1. The ISP can only get data for a subscriber account, not an individual. I wonder if they will post up the certificates this time?

Aww come on, imagine the fun you'd have in trawling through the epic arguments with the random latin phrases chucked in. You'd be in your element.jasonDWB wrote: I need someone clued up and passionate about justice with traffic law.

I got a shit load of work to get thru. That's why I've not built a motoring forum even if there is a gap in the market for one.
